I am committed to the academic and pastoral development of my students hope to bring my expertise Design Technology, Food Technology and Teaching and Learning to the SASF and the pupils of Buxted and Bonners. I am currently Head of Department and was previously Head of Year and have worked with many primary schools on the transition from primary to secondary.

Interests

I have a daughter at Uckfield College and one at Buxted school and a son who will follow them in the future. I am excited about being part of the SASF and looking forward to seeing the direction in which both schools will go over the next few years

Lara Roberts

Lara Roberts – Foundation Governor

Background Experience: I am a GP and have practiced Medicine for thirteen years. I am currently working part-time as a Locum GP and teaching medical students part-time at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I am on the executive committee of a medical-legal indemnity company for GP’s and have delivered business strategic and support within their complaints advisory service. I am also on the Buxted Parochial Church council. I live in Buxted with my husband and two daughters, one who currently attends Buxted School.

Interests: I am interested in child development, health and wellbeing and how individuality is nurtured to enable a child to achieve their true potential and that through learning children are “inspired” to “aspire”. I support the Church of England’s foundations and how Christian values are integrated within the vision and ethos across the Federation.

Roles and Responsibility: I am a Foundation Governor and part of the Health and Well-Being and Christian Ethos committees

Lyndsey Rogers – Parent Governor / Co Vice-chair

Background: I am a paediatric nurse with 20 years experience.  My speciality for many years was diabetes but more recently I have moved to a reviewing, supporting & educating role within an NHS Integrated Care Board.  I live in Maresfield with my son (who attends Bonners), my step-daughter (when she is not away at university) and my Husband.  I was keen to become a parent governor to strengthen the working relationship between parents & schools to ensure the best outcomes for our children.  I am passionate about special educational needs and ensuring the school is inclusive to all children and parents.

Interests: I am an avid netball player and I love walking my crazy dog, Daisy.  Health and wellbeing is really important to me and I am keen to promote this for the children in our community too.

Ross Moss - Parent Governor

Background: I have worked in the charity sector for over 15 years and now work for the Sussex Wildlife Trust in a membership engagement and fundraising role. I am passionate about caring for the natural world and wildlife and believe nature and time spent outside can support and enhance educational priorities and outcomes. I live in Buxted and have two sons who attend the school.

Interests: As a family we love spending time exploring our local area. I also like to bake and keep active with time at the gym or at our allotment.

Charlotte Vickery – Staff Governor

Background experience: I am the Early Years Foundation Stage lead at Bonners CE Primary School. I teach in the reception class and lead the Nursery. I have completed the NPQML programme run by University College London. I am a moderator for East Sussex County Council which enables me to share my practice with a variety of schools across the county.

Interests: Being a foundation stage teacher I am particularly interested in cross curricular learning and learning through hands on experiences. Within my teaching I try to instil a love of learning and exploration.

Governor Responsibilities: Staff Governor

Jenny Eadon – Co-opted

Background experience: I have had a long career in Further and Higher Education, culminating in Director of Curriculum encompassing several disparate departments, from level 1 to degree courses.

Interests: I am interested in how we learn. I think all learners should be challenged and encouraged to deliver their full potential. The learning environment should provide academic, artistic, cultural and physical experiences that foster lifelong enthusiasm and enjoyment of discovery in learners. Learners should be encouraged to develop self-confidence and

discipline, alongside respect and understanding for other cultures, traditions and people. I am always keen that the young mind should be broadened and deepened to become aware that there is more to know, something extra to find out. There is little more rewarding than to see a nurtured, young intellect blossom into full expansive maturity.

Governor responsibilities:  Vice-chair of Governors . I am the Governor responsible for Safeguarding and Inclusion. Champion of SEN.

Ben Sear – Foundation Governor

I became the Rector of Maresfield Church in 2019, though I was a member of the congregation previously until 2012.  I originally studied biochemistry at university and worked for the Medical Research Council before starting my theological training.  Prior to our arrival in Maresfield, I was based in Patcham (Brighton) for four years during my on-the-job training.

I am married to Claudia and have two daughters.  I am very glad to be part of village life and to have this opportunity to support the school and develop its links with the church.

Harriet Creamer - Co-opted Governor / Co Vice-chair

Background: I am a lawyer by training and worked for many years as a partner in a large City law firm.  After a period of time out while my children were growing up, I returned to work as an independent consultant, advising on management and people development issues for a range of law firms across the UK and abroad.  I believe very strongly that all children and young people should be able to access an excellent education and have previously been a governor in both the private and the state sector.  I am also a trustee at St Peter & St James Hospice in Wivelsfield Green.

Interests: I am married with three grown up sons: the eldest lives and works in Madrid, the other two in London and I enjoy spending time with them when I can.  I’m a keen choral singer - I sing with The Bach Choir in London (of which I’m also a trustee) and am a huge supporter of music provision in schools.

Pete Molloy - Foundation Governor

The Rev’d C. Peter Molloy was appointed rector of the Parish of Buxted and Hadlow Down in September 2020. Previously, he served in the Anglican Church of Canada for 20 years in Dawson City, Yukon; Vancouver, British Columbia; Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan; and Westport, Ontario. Whilst serving in the Diocese of Saskatchewan, he also served as Director of Youth Ministry. He took a sabbatical in 2015 and was appointed as a Visiting Scholar at Pusey House/St. Cross College, Oxford where he looked at the Pursuit of Holiness as a Mission Imperative for the Local Church. He hopes to assist with the integration of the Christian faith into the life of the schools in the parish. He has a son in Buxted school.
