Individual Needs Assistant & MDSA
Fixed term contract initially until August 2022
29.16 hours INA & 2.5 MDSA hours
Do you have the enthusiasm and commitment to be part of our successful and inclusive team to support individual children in our forward looking rural primary school?
We are a committed and welcoming team and are seeking an Individual Needs Assistant to provide support for individuals with educational, social, emotional and behavioural needs to ensure an inclusive approach to school integration and progress.
We would like candidates who are able to establish caring, supportive and secure relationships with young learners and develop professional and caring relationships with colleagues and parents. You will be a resilliant person who understands that some learners have complex needs that can effect their emotional and social behaviour.
Experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage, but showing a willingness to develop your knowledge and understanding of the specific needs of the child and to support the class teacher with the development of a suitable programme of work for that child would be viewed positively.
The candidate will be required to show a willingness and understanding of how to support the class teacher to provide an appropriate learning environment, resources and programme of work suited to the individual needs of the young learner. Applicants should be able to work as part of a team, including parents, outside agencies as well as other school staff, in order to provide the best possible learning environment for the pupil. Applicants would also be asked to undertake a first aid qualification.
Applicants will also need to participate in whole school activities and to support the daily work and ethos of a Church of England Primary School.
Closing date for application is the 4th June.
Please send your completed application form and letter to Mrs Toni Birkbeck - Office Manager - email@example.com
